The temperature here is rarely below 10-15°C for 9-10 months/year and in winter below 5° C.  The sunlight is rich (over 3300 hours/year, over two times more than in the Northern Europe countries). Due to the vicinity to the sea, a mild, temperate climate is formed, of improved African type, with characteristically obvious the alternation of the year seasons. By spring, very good weather conditions dominate that prepare you favourably for swimming in the sea. During the summer season, the heat is everything but overwhelming. One can rarely feel the sensation of heat and humidity due to the island climate. In the Island, there is possibility to produce various agricultural products even off season, in winter (flowers, vegetables, hypo tropics) outdoors and in greenhouses thanks to the mild climate. The visitors may enjoy, except from the sun and the sea, other alternative tourism forms (nature-loving, mountain, congress tourism etc.)
